DISRUPTION
A major disturbance, something
that changes your plans or interrupts some event or process.
A screaming child on an airplane is a big disruption
of the passengers’ sleep.
DISTRACTION
The process of diverting the
attention of an individual or group from a desired area of focus and thereby
blocking or diminishing the reception of desired information. Distractions come
from both external sources, and internal sources.
It was hard to work with
so many distractions.
A weekend at the beach was
a good distraction from her troubles.
DISTURBANCE
Something that stops you from
working, sleeping, etc.
She doesn’t want any more disturbances
while she is studying.
